Before
This website was made in 2022 and stopped updating in 2024 it was outdated and was lacking personality. I felt like everything was thrown onto the home page it did have a good base of information but wasn’t trying to get users to want to pick these guys to do work for them.
After
I updated the graphics making the pages all flow in a modern format and updated their logo in Inkscape. I also gave each individual page lots of information, they asked me to make every page unique and you can see that in their headers and layout of each page. I also made a portfolio section for their jobs on the gallery so users can look at before & after photos. They were really happy with what I made.
I encourage you to look at both the original and redesigned websites to see the overall difference across the design, content, structure, and user experience.
The redesign itself took about 2 days of work. Since the original website was already built with WordPress, transferring the domain and working with the existing setup was relatively quick. Getting the content I needed from the business was also easy. I helped them set up a Google Drive where they could upload their images and videos, and they were very helpful and quick whenever I needed something.
I also worked closely with the business throughout the design process. We discussed the overall design direction and the kind of theme they wanted, and after completing each page, I checked in with them to get their thoughts and feedback. This made it much easier to understand what needed to change and kept the project moving quickly.
After the redesign was finished, I spent another day working on SEO and cleaning up the website.
In total, the project took approximately 32 hours across 3 days of work. Because I had a lot of creative freedom with this project, I was able to experiment with different design ideas and really spend time developing a look that felt right for the business.
